Homemade Pizza

Chilli Con Carne

Chilli Con Carne

Pizza dough 

  •  375ml (1 1/2 cups) warm water
  •  Pinch of caster sugar
  •  2 tsp (7g/1 sachet) dried yeast
  •  600g (4 cups) plain flour
  •  1 tsp salt
  •  60ml (1/4 cup) olive oil
  •  plain flour, extra, for dusting
  •  olive oil, extra, for brushing

Mix yeast, water & sugar in bowl

Put flour, salt & oil  in another bowl

Once yeast has frothed up 

Mix with dry ingredient

Pizza dough 

  •  375ml (1 1/2 cups) warm water

  •  600g (4 cups) plain flour
  •  1 tsp salt
  •  60ml (1/4 cup) olive oil
  •  plain flour, extra, for dusting
  •  olive oil, extra, for brushing

Mix yeast, water & sugar in bowl

Put flour, salt & oil  in another bowl

Once yeast has frothed up 

Mix with dry ingredients and knead into a smooth ball 

Place ball in a clean well oiled bowl and cover with glad wrap to proof (until it doubles in size) and hour or two

Then it’s ready to make pizza! Take of an amount, roll it out and put on your toppings

Saute onion & garlic

add mince & brown it off

add in herbs and spices, tinned tomatoes and kidney beans

bring to the boil & reduce to a simmer until the sauce thickens 


cook the rice 


serve with a portion of rice and spoonfuls of chilli. Top with a spoonful of sour cream.

PIZZA COB LOAF!!

  • 1½ kg chuck or stewing beef (cubed)
  • 4 Tbsp cooking oil
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp fresh garlic, minced
  • tinned tomatoes
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 2 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • 1 handful fresh coriander
  • 2 curry leaves
  • Beef stock as needed (about 4–5 cups)
  • 2 medium potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
  • 2 medium carrots, peeled and cut into 

  • 1½ kg chuck or stewing beef (cubed)

  • 1 Tbsp fresh garlic, minced
  • tinned tomatoes
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 2 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • 1 handful fresh coriander
  • 2 curry leaves
  • Beef stock as needed (about 4–5 cups)
  • 2 medium potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
  • 2 medium carrots, peeled and cut into chunks
  • 4 Tbsp plain yoghurt
  • Juice of one fresh lemon
  • 2 loaves of bread (preferably unsliced, to make your “bowls”)


Heat the pan and brown the beef, once brown remove from heat and set aside 

sauté onion and garlic, toast the spices 

add the beef back to the pot

pour in beef stock, tinned tomatoes 

add vegetables and simmer for 30minutes or until beef is cooked through and vegetables are tender 

to finish the curry, stir through yoghurt and lemon.

spoon curry into hollowed out loaves of bread

garnish with a dollop of yoghurt & sprigs of coriander

In bowl:

Cream cheese

Sour cream 

Grated cheese

Shallots

Parsley

Cherry tomatoes 

Pizza sauce 


Pour hot ingredients into cold ingredients and stir to combine. 


Hollow out cob loaf - tear up the dippers

Pour fill into cob, squeeze in some pizza sauce and marble through the mix with a skewer.

Grated cheese

Cherry tomatoes 

Pizza sauce 


Pour hot ingredients into cold ingredients and stir to combine. 


Hollow out cob loaf - tear up the dippers

Pour fill into cob, squeeze in some pizza sauce and marble through the mix with a skewer. 

top with extra cheese and layer the dippers around the loaf in the camp oven 


Cook in camp oven on fire with lid on, 20 mins or so. Until warmed through and dippers are crispy. 

Enjoy! Once you pop you can’t stop!

talk about a sugar rush! Quickly cooked in our pizza oven on the back of the Ute, makes for a nice warm dessert to finish the night off!

put all mest into a snaplock bag

tip in a whole bottle of Nandos sauce ( whatever heat you can stand…. We like it Spicy!)

squeeze of lemon

dash of white vinegar

TSP of Garam masala & Cumin

salt & pepper

add fresh chilli if yo
